Asian decor relies heavily on layers of texture and color. From the furniture, decorations, to the rugs on the floor. They all are important pieces to have in any Asian inspired room. As with any other room, a floor covering (rug) can become a foundation for any interior. This includes an Asian inspired room. A beautiful Asian decor rug can help to pull colors from each individual item in the room, into one cohesive flowing room. From beautiful tatami mats within a Japanese inspired room, or a floral wool rug that pulls from the Chinese interior decorating preferences. There are countless choices of inspirational and eye-pleasing Asian decor rugs, giving you the opportunity to find the one that is perfect for your color-scheme and fashion preference.

As with any other interior decorating, window treatments can help to bring balance into an Asian decor room. While your decorative elements such as furniture, rugs, wall treatments, and accessories can be extremely elaborate. In Asian decor the window treatment should be simple in comparison. However, there are cases in which you should seek out more vibrant and eye-popping window treatments for your Asian decor room. Such as when you have chosen a neutral color pallet. Much like the use of plant life in your home, water can help to bring the soothing nature of the outdoors in. Water is by far one of the heaviest influences in Asian decor, often times being added in items such as small fountains or standing water with beautiful fish (IE: the betta fish).
